This contest happens every year. The posters are always due around the middle of April. This year it is April 12, 2004 !
Rules for Entry - All entries should by no larger than 17" x 22".
- All entries must have the following information:
27th Annual Haight Ashbury Street Fair

11:00 AM til 5:30 PM
Music, Arts, Crafts, Food
- Other words that the artist feels appropriate may be added; e.g. "Dancing in the Streets!"
- Any medium can be used as long as it can be reproduced using offste photo-lithography, four-color process.
- Artwork must be camera-ready. Lettering may be separate but it must be submitted with the artwork.
- Please cover and protect your artwork! We will handle your artwork as carefully as possible; however, neither the Haight Ashbury Street Fair nor any of its members can be held responsible for loss or damage of any artwork.
- All entries must have a NAME, PHONE NUMBER, and ADDRESS printed legibly on the back of your artwork and on its protective cover.
- You may submit more than one entry.
- All entries must be submitted no later than April 12, 2004.
- To make arrangements to drop off your entry, call (415)863-3489; or leave your entry at Mendel's (that would be us); or Off The Wall 1669 Haight.
- The winning artist may keep the original artwork, but all copyrights for the reproduction become the property of the Haight Ashbury Street Fair. The winning artist must sign a release.
General Information
The winner and ten (10) semi-finalists will be chosen from a panel of judges appointed by the Haight Ashbury Street Fair Committee.
The winner will receive a $500.00 cash prize from the Haight Ashbury Street Fair, a $100.00 gift certificate for art supplies from Mendel's Art Supply, and 20 poster reproductions.
