Haight Street Fair Posters

Every year on a Sunday in June, we have a little street fair. The street gets blocked off, many of the regular stores close and booths pop up for the day. If the weather is good, a good time is had by all. If the weather is not so good, there is no where to run and you have a bunch of soggy and/or cold people.

In celebration of the fair, there is a poster contest each year. The poster contest is open to all who would like to enter. For the rules, check out the Haight Street Fair website
Check out the gallery of Street Fair Posters for pictures of most of the posters (even the ones you can no longer purchase) along with info about who created the posters and their background.

Special Blotter Art-- To commemorate Pablo Heising's legacy (HASF President, 1978 – 2006) and in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Haight Ashbury Street Fair, a special piece of blotter artwork was created. Designed by George Campise for HASF, “Pablo Heising's Chocolate Factory” illuminates his contributions to the jovial and festive atmosphere of the street fairs and celebrates his leadership in making this event a San Francisco tradition. Each piece of artwork is numbered but quantities are limited. The art is printed on a 8 1/2" x 12" piece of watercolor paper. The Printed and perforated area is 7 1/2" x 7 1/2".

Back to the posters you can buy.... the catch is that they only print the posters up once... so once they are sold out, that's it. (That's why you won't see all of the posters listed!) I have done my best to photograph the posters, but of course the colors may not be exactly like you see on your screen and sometimes there is a glare in the photo that isn't there in real life.

They are all $10.
