A dedicated mother to Bette, Louise, and Maury
A devoted grandmother to Naomi, Emily and Darrell
A supportive mother-in law to John and Maya
A wonderful friend to her companion Cecily who was with her since her heart surgery
And an inspiration to all who met her.

My grandmother was a strong willed, feisty woman who knew what she wanted. She wanted to be happy, and everything she did was to that end. Her flowers bloomed, her tie-dyes shined, her paintings adorned the walls and her ceramics held everything from napkins to food. Everyone who met her said, "I hope I am as active as she is when I get to be her age." Even the hospice workers who came to the house on the last night, knew how special she was-- they could just see it in our eyes.

She believed in living. And our greatest tribute to her is to live our lives doing the things that make us glow with joy.
