This block features premium 140lb cold press watercolor paper glued on two edges so that you can paint directly on the top sheet without taping or sizing.
If you are looking for a smoother watercolor paper, consider the hot press block.
When your painting is dry, simply slide a dull knife or letter opener under the top sheet to release the glue and pull your painting free.
